Many bridal couples opt for a summer wedding, as this is associated with summer temperatures and warm summer evenings. But there are also atypical plans for your own wedding: a winter wedding.
WEDDING IN WINTER ADVANTAGES
Some people find it hard to imagine getting married in freezing temperatures, but a winter wedding also offers several advantages. One big plus point is definitely the anti-cyclical planning - this means that the desired location is usually free and you don't have to decide on something years in advance.
Have you ever been a guest at a wedding at 35°C? A warm summer day is of course nice, but when the temperatures rise, it gets very hot, especially in locations such as barns. People are usually happy about lower temperatures.
If you're lucky and it snows, you'll also have a beautiful backdrop.
WINTER WEDDING ISABEL AND OLIVER
These were some of the advantages of a winter wedding.
For Isabell and Oliver, it was clear from the start that they would get married in winter. So we were all the more delighted when they chose us as their photographer!
The civil wedding took place in January at the White Castle Heroldsberg takes place. In addition to various exhibitions, the castle offers the opportunity to tie the knot. On the second floor is the banqueting hall in a rustic, elegant style. The wedding was held in a small circle, which made everything more personal. You can see the joy and emotions in the pictures.
For the bridal couple shoot, Isabel and Oliver opted for the Sanspareil rock garden. We took advantage of the snow in the countryside to take unforgettable photos. In addition to the rocks and caves, we moved around the surrounding countryside to take varied shots in a field. Both the bride and groom and we were overwhelmed by the results.
The picture of Isabel and Oliver helped us to win the Wedding Award Germany.
A winter wedding is therefore a wonderful alternative to a summer wedding. If you still want a lot of sun, then you can do like Carina and Benjamin get married in the Bahamas.
